A Little About Us
Dan – I came to know the Lord at a young age and felt a call to full time ministry even as far back as middle school. I knew even then that God had saved my life so many times because he wanted to use me. When I met Kristi in high school, I knew the first time we talked that she was my soul mate and that she was the one to walk with me on this crazy journey. We married in college and I finished up a History degree with a minor in Ancient Greek.
My plan was to go to seminary, but when I reached that point I sense the Lord telling me to start a photography business. I am passionate about capturing people’s stories and have been so thankful for the people I have met and the opportunities God has opened up through photography. Even though I am passionate about photography, I have sensed a yearning in my soul to spend the bulk of my time reaching the lost and inspiring believers to follow Christ passionately. I have often wondered why my path seemed different from my calling, but I am now seeing how perfectly God has been preparing us for this new leg of the journey.
I feel like I have come to a lookout on a hike and I can see where we have come from and a glimpse of where we are going. What have seemed like rabbit trails and winding paths going the opposite way, have really been God training, molding and giving us the skills He wants to use for His glory on this next part of the journey. I am excited beyond words and I am praising God for how amazing He is! I am completely in awe of Him and know only He could have orchestrated all of this so perfectly.
Kristi – I also came to know the Lord at a young age and have always been drawn to ministry. I spent a summer in highschool sharing Jesus with children through a ministry called “Child Evangelism Fellowship” in the intercity of San Antonio. I went to Venezuela on a mission trip after my senior year mainly because I just want to lend a hand wherever I could be used. I came away wondering why I had been part of that since I couldn’t speak Spanish. Now looking back I’m realizing how much just being a present and willing to be part of something can mean so much.
I am passionate about people feeling welcome in the body of Christ and I have always loved children. My degree is in Art Education and I spent 5 years working as an Elementary Art teach which was wonderful! I’ve enjoyed working along side Dan in the photography business and my favorite part has been getting to know so many incredible couples and families. I love being a Mom to our 3 little ones- Eric, Joshua, and Evelyn- who are such joys. I am so thrilled with all God is doing in our lives and for the amazing opportunity to jump in to Reach Global Crisis Response and love on people who have gone through crisis.
